Instrument Sales
What is your goal when buying an instrument? Is it for a long term investment or primarily as a playing instrument? Maybe both? Is it going to be used by a professional performer or merely for enjoyment or as a beginner's instrument? These and many other questions deliver a wide range of differences in quality, tonal style, and of course price range.
Antique instruments can sell for staggering amounts of money, easily exceeding the price of a car or even a house so require even more consideration. We advise our clients to take their time and act cautiously, taking into consideration:
Overall impression – In what state of preservation is the instrument? Have repairs been carefully and expertly finished? It is completely normal for older instruments to have a number of repairs including cracks in the wood, but how they are restored will play a large role in the playing life and value of the instrument.
Certification – What do leading, internationally acclaimed experts have to say about the instrument? Buying a fake is definitely not going to be a good long-term investment.
We would be glad to assist you with all aspects of your purchase process and offer unrivalled after-sales service, ensuring a successful satisfactory result.
